Outer Beauty Reflects Inner Health

Consumer
consciousness is changing. What shoppers found acceptable in beauty
products ten years ago is no longer acceptable today. How an individual
presents him or herself publicly now has to be politically correct.
Perfumes and scented skin and body care products are out. Offending anothers
personal space with chemical-soup perfumes and after-shave lotions is not
OK. Cosmetic face masks for women are passé. So where is the trend going?
At last – it’s going in the right direction. Consumer consciousness is now
linking to health consciousness.
Your real face,
the real you, is what people want to see. When a person is wearing a
disguise and hiding behind a cosmetic facemask, it makes you wonder – just
what are they trying to conceal? Are they open and honest or…? Instead of
trying to artificially look better on the outside (rather superficial don’t
you think?) we would be far better off if we worked on our looks from the
inside – out.
Our face is a map
of our inner health. The study of face analysis is called physiognomy
…pronounced fizz-ee-og (as in grog )-nom (as in nominate )-ee…the art of
oriental face diagnosis. This is an ancient tool used by practitioners to
analyse past, present and potential health issues.
The lines,
crevices, blotches, spots, bruising, dark colour, broken capillaries,
roughness, paleness, dryness and rawness are present there for a reason.
Your face is revealing the health status of your brain, liver, kidneys,
lungs, digestive system, bowel, reproductive system, heart and emotions.
Ignore or try to cover up what your face is trying to tell you to your
peril! This is information we need to pay attention to; we need to use it
to become more health savvy and beautiful. Improve the health of our
organ and energy systems and the results will show up in our face. Six
months of inner health balancing can see a person looking ten years younger,
feeling more energetic, having a better functioning brain and an improved
outlook on life. All by working on their looks from the inside – out.
Then there is the
perspective of health and beauty from the outside – in, but from a different
point of view. All chemicals that we put on our skin through deliberate
topical application or from happen chance contact with our skin can show
up in the urine within twenty minutes of our touching them. Makes you think
doesn’t it?
Many products
touch our skin. Deliberately applied products would be cosmetics, shaving
preparations, massage lotions, skin cremes, hair removers, hand cleaners,
after-shaves and deodorants. Happen chance products that come into contact
with our skin that we might not be aware of the toxicity of would be
shampoos, hair styling products, hair dyes, dish detergents, laundry soaps,
fabric softeners, house-cleaning products, dry cleaning solvents, and
synthetic fabrics. These all impact on our inner health.
Superficially these products - whether you consciously choose to put them
on or not – may temporarily achieve their purpose. Yes they seem to clean
well. Yes they do make your skin look better for now. But what is the cost
of their long-term effect?
The question is,
do they improve or stress our health? In most cases they stress our
health. Their chemical components lodge in our organ, blood, muscle, and
bone tissue interfering with our functioning level and energy flow. On the
map of the face they end up creating exactly what we have been attempting to
avoid – weathered, tired and ugly looking skin.
The skin is
permeable to solids, liquids and gases. Why would we put anything on our
skin, hair, nails and clothes that isn’t safe to eat? It ends up in the
wrong place – inside our bodies as a toxic substance. Would we eat a bowl
of ingredients in a lip-gloss for breakfast? What about your hair colour,
or your after-shave toner, or your dry cleaning solvent? Would you have
that as a little snack? Stress your organs and it will show up on your face
sooner or later – and it is usually sooner.
Being healthy
means having the energy, positive outlook, emotional temperament, stamina,
resilience, intuitive know-how, and inner balance to create a life that is
joyful and balanced for us. Let’s choose to be healthy! Absorbing and
ingesting substances toxic to us negatively affects our health and
consequently our looks.
This leads us to
the question of where do we find balanced healthy skin care and beauty
products? Most drug stores are not the place to buy the best skin care
products although there are some that are becoming increasingly market aware
and as such are stocking more natural products on their shelves. The
educated consumer however, is going to find a wider range of products in the
health food stores than probably anywhere else. And yet, even then, can you
truly find the best product for you?
The consumer
savvy individual is likely frustrated with what’s available on the market.
Can you find what you want to buy? Are the prices realistic? Do you know
what you need or what is best for you? Where can you find the answer to
your questions? And most importantly, how do you control the quality of the
ingredients that come into contact with your body?
The answer… make
your own! Not only that, you can then customise your product to fit your
special skin/complexion care needs as they alter from season to season and
from day-to-day. At-home skin, complexion and looks care follows simple
theory techniques and strategy. Learn the basic information and you will
have an enormous repertoire of knowledge to play with.
Skin care
products are very inexpensive to make. The big bucks you pay for in
pre-manufactured products results from shipping, packaging, licensing,
testing, insurance, sales, printing, advertising and storage costs. Put
your money into quality ingredients and create your own. Personalise.
Customise. Beautify.
If you are not
‘poisoning’ yourself on the inside with what you apply on the outside, you
will look and feel better. Your complexion will glow. Your hair will be
lustrous, and your skin will be firm and smooth.
Your
face is on the outside where everyone can see it. It is a billboard for all
to see and it advertises everything you have done and continue to do. You
can have a great complexion but you need to start with ‘healthy’ products on
the outside in combination with inner support to totally enhance your
beauty. This is true beauty, the kind that is real and lasting.
